October 4th.
Added a couple more news articles. This time it's abstracts, one for digital works... one for traditional paintings.
Seen In The Abstract
Tradition of the Abstract
And those of us that have tried doing "Abstracts" know that it is one of the most difficult genres to create a work that has substance as well as eye appeal. The selections in these article... well these artists know how it's done. Well worth a look in my humble opinion.

(September 23rd)
During the past few days...
I have scanned through thousands of images posted in a couple of the subcategories of digital painting, and have just posted a couple news articles to showcase a few of those images that especially impressed me.
Fantasy - Digital Paintings
Surreal - Digital Paintings
Think others may enjoy them - and hope they will inspire artists to do work that is up to this level...
Though I have also came to the conclusion... that the majority of the art works that are done... mine included... are much more likely to just join in the race to obscurity. Even the best works that I found, that have been posted here at the internet's largest "art community" have not received the number of views that they deserve...
And this brings home - again - that the reason to create art, in my opinion, should be because it gives personal pleasure in the doing, and that posting it here or elsewhere, one should be pleased if it connects with one person - or if it has with many, and rightfully take pleasure in that... but still, its the doing, the attainining of skill in technique and imagination... that alone, is enough of a reward for spending the precious commodity of time.

But think the reason is the same as why I'm "watching" you - enjoyment of not knowing what will come next... but knowing it at least should be interesting.
Wish you success and if you were closer... think I would also trust you with a needle and pair of pliers when I needed a tooth yanked out (Ouch)
Thanks again,

It's my time to shine, like the tuna in the brine,
for my pregnant paws aren't changing anything.
